Warm Winter Helps Booming Oil Patch

North Dakota’s booming Oil Patch produced a record 152.9 million barrels of sweet crude in 2011, up more than 35 percent from the previous record of 113 million set a year earlier, the state Industrial Commission reported Wednesday.
