The Williston API Board of Directors would like to thank the community for supporting us over the last 39 years and helping us celebrate $1 Million Dollars and Counting!!!

Even though the weather on Saturday didn’t cooperate with our celebration, we still had a good turnout.

The motorcycle dice run turned into a vehicle dice run because of the rain, we value safety and went to four wheel vehicles. The turnout was light but all those who attended had a great time. Thanks to Busters for serving breakfast to everyone, the Midway, Centennial in Grenora, and the 29 mile bar for opening up and providing a nice location for us to use during the event. Bras for a Cause did a great job with some help from a local group.

Natasha Canvas painted well over 100 kids and adults. She stayed busy from noon until 7 p.m.

Halliburton, Secure Energy, Kraken, and Montana-Dakota Utilities feed the public lunch and supper. The sides, plates, utensils, coke and water were supplied from: Re/Max Bakken Realty, Grainger, Target Hospitality, Holiday Stations, C&D Water, and Mondak Portables.

The kids events went well with the bouncy houses, chalk art contest, and the groove dancing. The sponsors who helped were: Tervita, KLX Energy, Jump-n-Fun, Torcsill, Select Energy, Triangle Electric, Scenic Sports, and the Safari Trampoline Park, T & E. We need to thank WSC Basketball Coach Kia Herbel and her players for doing a great job with the kids and Jenn Shanahan the Fitness & Wellness Supervisor from the Williston Parks and Recreation, she not only had the kids dancing but the majority of the adults too with this new Groove Dance. It was a blast to see her get everyone involved and the basketball players helped the crowd stay engaged. Miss North Dakota and Miss North Dakota Teen did a great job working with the kids. 

We couldn’t have done with event without the volunteers starting with Studio 89 who directed traffic and parking in the rain and ran the kids bouncy houses and the API merchandise booth. Elizabeth’s Dance Studio helped serve supper and helped with the bouncy houses into the evening.  Black Magic Harley Davidson and their staff were outstanding as usual, what a great facility and the way they open it up to the community is second to none.

The local band Blu Country kicked the night off right with great country music. We ended the night with Slamabama they rocked the house like no other!!!
