The Williston Basin API Chapter is proud to host the 46th Annual API Chili Cook-Off, a signature community event that brings people together while raising critical funds for local organizations, scholarships, and charitable programs throughout the Bakken.

The 45th Annual Chili Cook-Off was another incredible success, bringing together chili teams, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees from across the region.

The event featured:

22 competing chili teams
100+ sponsors
1,500+ attendees
More than $110,000 raised for scholarships and community programs

Thanks to this incredible support, funds were distributed to organizations and programs making a meaningful impact throughout our region.

Where the Money Goes

Proceeds from the API Chili Cook-Off directly support the Williston Basin API Scholarship Program, charitable giving, and community organizations throughout the Bakken.

Past support has included Giving Hearts Day donations to:

Coyote Clay Target League, Upper Missouri Ministries, Eckert Youth Home, and The Salvation Army.

Additional community support has included:

Williston Flyers Pee Wee Hockey, Korner Lions, Family Crisis Shelter, Keene Volunteer Fire Department, Kids Day Out Foundation, WHS After Prom, and Williston Regional Economic Development.

Every sponsorship, team contribution, and ticket purchased helps strengthen our community and invest in its future.

How to Sponsor

The Chili Cook-Off is one of two major annual fundraisers hosted by the Williston Basin API Chapter. Sponsorship support helps fund scholarships, charitable giving, and community investments throughout the year.

Whether your company is a longtime supporter or participating for the first time, your sponsorship makes a real difference while providing valuable visibility before, during, and after the event.

Chili Team Participation

Chili team spots are currently filled based on participation from the previous year. Returning teams will receive registration information directly and must confirm their participation by the announced deadline.

Should additional team spots become available, they may be offered to companies on the inquiry list. Joining the inquiry list does not guarantee a team spot.
